So many people leave Melbourne. Principal reasons are that the economy is growing, but career options are not as good as Sydney. Too many migrants, changing the culture. Housing Costs are just too high. Food inflation, especially in central locations. Its at the end of the earth, so you will have to travel long distances to visit friends and family. If the green protesters halt airline travel, it will take you 8 weeks to reach Europe.

Yarra Valley has been my favourite place to drive through when I was back home in Melbourne. Coldstream, Yering, and Yarra Glen on a spring and summer day is magic. Don't forget to go to Belgrave and get on puffing Billy and Phillip Island for the penguins. Healesville too. It has one of the best gin distilleries in the country called 4 pillars and the animal sanctuary.

I can recommend biang biang noodles on Elizabeth St best noodles in Melbourne. Also Tokyo lamington in Carlton. Also checkout industry beans off Brunswick St for a blueberry iced matcha 🍵

I needed this I have lived here in Tasmania now for over 20 years. I have been all over the Island. It is gorgeous. But for quite a while I have lived almost as a hermit. I stay close to hpme and have to remind myself of the place. So I was pleased to see this overview by visitors, summing up from many of their travels and vlogs.

I agree the viiews from up there are spectacular, but the road toll is putting many people off, in excess of $50..!! My last visit cost $20, several years ago.. I recall a goat leapt into our car and sat on my wifes lap..
